Upgrade Your BMW E90 With BLAK by CT Carbon Double Slat Black Grilles

If you drive a 2005–2008 BMW E90 3 Series Saloon or Estate, you already know how timeless and elegant the pre-LCI design is. But even the most stylish BMW models can benefit from a modern refresh. The BMW E90 3 Series Pre-LCI Double Slat Black Grilles – BLAK by CT Carbon offer an easy, impactful upgrade that transforms the front-end look of your vehicle while maintaining the iconic BMW character.

Designed as a high-quality aftermarket alternative, these grilles are crafted from durable ABS plastic and engineered to fit directly in place of your factory units. Whether you're looking to enhance aesthetics, replace aged original grilles, or begin a full exterior styling project, this upgrade delivers both visual appeal and long-lasting performance.

What Are Double Slat Black Grilles?

BMW grilles are one of the most recognized design elements in the automotive world. The kidney grille design has become a symbol of performance, engineering excellence, and luxury. On the BMW E90 3 Series, the factory chrome or silver grilles can begin to look dated or worn over time. The BLAK by CT Carbon Double Slat Black Grilles replace the standard units with a sleek, aggressively styled double-slat pattern finished in deep black for a more modern appearance.

Made from high-quality ABS plastic, these grilles are engineered to withstand daily driving conditions while maintaining their finish. As an aftermarket product—not OEM—they offer a more affordable alternative to original BMW performance styling components without compromising on durability or fitment.

Why Upgrade to the BMW E90 3 Series Pre-LCI Double Slat Black Grilles?

Upgrading your factory grille may seem like a small modification, but it makes a huge difference in how your E90 looks and feels. Here are some of the biggest advantages:

Modern, aggressive appearance: The black double-slat design adds a sportier look that complements both stock and modified vehicles.
Instant front-end refresh: Perfect for restoring visual appeal if your existing grilles are faded, chipped, or cracked.
High-quality ABS construction: Lightweight, durable, and resistant to weathering, road debris, and UV exposure.
Simple installation: Designed for direct replacement with no cutting or modifications required.
Enhanced customization: Black grilles pair well with carbon fiber accents, black trims, or M Sport styling.
Cost-effective upgrade: Affordable way to give your BMW a premium performance look without paying OEM prices.

Perfect Fit for 2005–2008 BMW E90 3 Series Models

The BMW E90 3 Series Pre-LCI Double Slat Black Grilles – BLAK by CT Carbon are designed specifically for:

2005–2008 BMW E90 Saloon
2005–2008 BMW E91 Estate/Touring

Because these grilles are made for Pre-LCI models, they attach seamlessly using the factory mounting points. This ensures a precise and secure fit that looks like it came from the factory—just with a far more aggressive style.

How These Grilles Improve Your Driving Experience

While the primary benefit of these grilles is visual, there are additional advantages for everyday use. The durable ABS plastic offers reliable resistance to stone chips, harsh weather, and general wear that can impact older chrome grilles. For owners who drive their E90 year-round, this can help maintain a clean, modern appearance with minimal maintenance.

The matte or gloss black finish (depending on variant) blends well with the E90’s body lines and enhances the sporty profile typical of BMW’s 3 Series. If you’ve added other exterior modifications—such as black badges, carbon mirror covers, or an M Sport front bumper—these double slat black grilles help tie the entire look together.

Ideal for Custom Builds and OEM+ Looks

Whether you're planning subtle modifications or a full custom build, these grilles work perfectly in a wide range of styling themes. Many owners choose them as the first upgrade before moving on to other enhancements. They are also popular among enthusiasts who want to achieve an OEM+ appearance—subtle, clean, and factory-inspired but noticeably improved.

Because the BMW E90 3 Series remains a favorite among tuners and daily drivers alike, having a simple exterior upgrade like the BLAK by CT Carbon Double Slat Black Grilles adds instant personality without overwhelming the car’s classic lines.

Installation: Quick and Hassle-Free

These grilles are designed for a straightforward installation process that most owners can complete at home with basic tools. The grilles clip into the existing OEM locations, allowing for a secure fit without the need for cutting or modifying your vehicle. Even if you’re new to DIY car modifications, installing these grilles is a manageable project that takes less than an hour for most people.

Because they are aftermarket components, they offer the advantage of style and cost savings while still delivering a reliable and consistent fit when installed correctly.
