- E chassis M3 DCT paddles - plug and play with this harness. Requires Steering Wheel Controls module BMW part number 61319123287.
- LCI paddles - harness is plug and play but paddles require modification to work on earlier E chassis cars. When using modified LCI paddles you may not need part number 61319123287.

- 10 mm wrench or socket for battery disconnection
- Flat head screwdrivers for trim and airbag release
- 16 mm socket with extension for steering wheel removal
- T20 and T30 Torx tools
- Wire puller such as a coat hanger to route the harness
