Eddy Catalytic technology explained
Unlike conventional straight downpipes or linear frustum designs, the Stone arc-packaged eddy catalytic induces a controlled vortex. At low rpm it increases exhaust gas purification and maintains the back pressure your turbo needs to spool quickly. As rpm rises the vortex opens up flow through the catalytic core, delivering top-end performance similar to a 100 cell sports cat while keeping low-end emissions efficiency closer to a 400 cell cat.
Engineered for performance
Stone Exhaust uses reverse engineering with 3D scanning of OEM components to map diameters, routing and bend angles on the B48 exhaust system. CFD-style simulation is then used to refine flow, thermal behaviour and pressure zones before production. The result is consistent fitment and repeatable gains.

Manufacturing detail
With state-of-the-art bending, Stone achieves up to 98 percent roundness and keeps outer bore wear to about 25 percent at 180 degrees. Combined with reverse engineering and 3D scanning, the result is an integrally moulded exhaust pipe with accuracy error under 0.025 mm. Direct spot welding by mechanical arms further enhances consistency and strength.
Turbo to downpipe flanges experience extreme heat. Stone uses crisscross and overlapping welding to increase weld width and penetration, improving endurance and tolerance at this critical joint.
