Real-world performance testing
We have installed and road tested this MTC intercooler on multiple BMW X5 and X6 vehicles. Through five back-to-back pulls, intercooler inlet temperatures were around 90 degrees on both the standard and upgraded units. At the outlet into the engine, the stock intercooler peaked at around 60 degrees, whereas this stepped competition intercooler consistently delivered outlet temps in the high 20s across all five pulls.
