Why upgrade your 1.0 EcoBoost blow off valve
The factory electronic diverter valve on the 1.0 EcoBoost is an inexpensive plastic unit that is prone to leaking, failure and inconsistent control, especially at higher boost pressure. That leads to compressor surge, turbo flutter, reduced performance and unnecessary wear on the turbocharger. An uprated BOV or dump valve prevents compressor surge by releasing excess pressure, protecting the turbo and improving drivability.
