As chargecooled engines rely on coolant temperature to control intake air temperatures, the standard system can struggle under hard use and on tuned cars. AIRTEC Motorsport maximises the space behind the front bumper with a much larger twin pass chargecooler radiator that is nearly 100 mm taller and 20 mm thicker than stock. Capacity increases by a huge 5.4 litres to 9.9 litres, which is over double the standard 4.5 litres. Frontal area rises by 40 percent to improve heat rejection and stabilise IATs lap after lap.
Despite the size increase, this direct fit upgrade mounts to the OEM points, uses the original coolant connectors and requires no cutting or trimming. It includes a removable stone guard to protect the core in its exposed position and is finished in a durable black powder coat. Ideal for stock, Stage 1 and Stage 2 S55 cars that demand reliable cooling on the road and circuit.
