Compared with EBC RP-1, RP-X delivers around a 25 percent increase in friction across its working temperature range and a much more positive initial bite. Disc wear is comparable to many popular track and race materials, though greater than RP-1 which results in higher levels of brake dust and some brake noise. This is normal for a peak performance track pad and is a worthwhile tradeoff for the braking performance you gain.
Track use and legality
Fit for race use only. RP-X is not R90 homologated for use on public roads in EU member states. The compound offers excellent cold performance, so where local laws permit it can be driven to and from motorsport events. Always check and follow your local regulations.
