Will it affect cooling performance
No. The S55 uses a water to air chargecooler on top of the engine rather than a conventional air to air intercooler that relies on airflow. Cooling is handled by coolant circulation through the chargecooler core, so this cover does not reduce chargecooler effectiveness.
Is it secure in the engine bay
Yes. The supplied 3M VHB tape is designed for harsh under bonnet environments and the exterior of the S55 chargecooler does not reach extreme temperatures. The cover shape and surrounding components also prevent movement should installation steps be missed, allowing easy correction.
