CSF B-Tube design
Designed and tested in the USA
CSF Aluminum performance radiators feature a thicker core combined with their B-tube design to offer greatly enhanced cooling performance with improved durability. Instead of a single oval radiator tube, CSF has two tubes in the shape of a "B" that have more surface area and greater strength. In addition, CSF can use a thinner material that is more efficient and lighter. Adding lightness has its benefits as a thicker core will mean the radiator and extra coolant will weigh more (thicker is not always the best). Read more on CSF B-Tube tech by clicking here. By doing away with the plastic end tanks and connections, CSF has eliminated the main weak points of the stock radiator design. The plastic has a tendency to crack and leak, especially on track cars where the extreme heat makes the plastic brittle.
The E36 CSF Aluminum radiator is designed as a drop-in replacement to the stock system. It uses all of the factory plastic shrouding, hose connections, and mounting points. Although not a fitment concern, the thicker core will tighten tolerances. All CSF radiators receive design and development in the USA with additional wind tunnel, vibration, thermal cycle, burst pressure, and salt spray testing done at their production facilities in Southeast Asia. During manufacturing, radiators are individually tested for leaks and receive a 30-point inspection prior to shipping. This part is a much higher level of quality than typical Chinese factory parts. CSF is an OE supplier to several manufacturers as well as providing private-label products for other radiator brands. CSF radiators have a two year warranty.
