EBC RP-X features a very stable friction coefficient of 0.55 right up to and beyond 850°C. That means dependable braking performance under extreme heat with superb repeatability, corner after corner. Unlike many race compounds, RP-X also bites hard from cold, so there is no warm up required before you get maximum braking effect. It is race use only and not R90 approved for public road use in EU member states, but that strong cold performance makes it suitable for driving to and from events where local laws permit.

Expect higher brake dust and noise than fast-road compounds, and increased disc wear compared with EBC RP-1. In return you get a sharper, more positive pedal, stronger initial bite and confidence-inspiring control under heavy braking. RP-X is an excellent match for heavier vehicles or cars that feel under-servoed on track.
