Features in detail
The intake sits beside the exhaust manifold in the G20/G21/G22/G23 chassis, so heat management is critical. Eventuri’s sealed carbon fibre airbox encapsulates the filter, while a laser-cut plate with a rubber seal prevents hot bay air from entering. The gold reflective heat shield on the manifold side minimises radiant heat. To combat the restriction of a sealed box, Eventuri adds a second cold-air feed from the wheel-arch area, allowing the turbo to draw from a larger, colder air supply.
The OEM inlet tube’s flexible, convoluted section can induce turbulence. Eventuri replaces it with a larger, smooth-bore pre-preg carbon tube which maintains a consistent, high-volume path. On cars built after November 2018, the internal diameter at the filter end is approximately 109 mm (4.3 inches), equating to a significant increase in cross-sectional area over stock. The tube tapers smoothly to the turbo inlet and features CNC-machined mounts for the temperature sensor and breather adapter.
Versions and part numbers
BMW updated the OEM system during late 2018. Please choose the correct version based on your car’s build date and sensor type:
- EVE-G20B58-V1-INT: V1 for models built before November 2018 (MAF/airflow sensor in the inlet tube).
- EVE-G20B58-V2-INT: V2 for models built after November 2018 (temperature sensor in the inlet tube).
Not sure which you need? Remove the sensor from your OEM inlet tube and check whether it’s an airflow (MAF) sensor or a temperature sensor to confirm V1 or V2 before ordering.
