With these cars getting on a bit the standard EDC dampers are starting to need replacement and these are a fantastic OEM plus replacement and upgrade.

We developed these with Bilstein to take the E9x M3's suspension to the next level. They provide much greater body control and compliance than the stock dampers, making the car more fun to drive on less than perfectly smooth roads. Pair them with stock springs or lowering springs of your choice.

EDC compatibility and tuning

These Damptronic shock absorbers work with the factory EDC system on the BMW M3 E90, E92 and E93. We worked closely with Bilstein to revise the internal valving so Comfort mode is genuinely supple for daily driving, while Sport Plus offers a noticeable step up in control. The result is a broader, more effective spread of damping in each electronic mode for real world roads.

Ride height and front lift fix

A common complaint with many B6 and B8 style dampers on the E9x M3 is a slight lift at the front. After extensive back and forth with Bilstein, we specified a slightly shorter front damper body to address this. Some lift may be evident when brand new compared to a used damper due to the nature of gas pressurised dampers.

Spring compatibility

  • Compatible with stock BMW M3 E90 E92 E93 springs

  • Not compatible with KW HAS or BMW M Performance HAS kits
