Race-bred construction

Each bearing uses a high strength steel back with a cast bronze substrate finished with a lead indium overlay, originally known as VP2. This unique structure delivers higher fatigue strength than typical race bearings while offering excellent conformability. It should not be confused with other tri metal designs that are sintered and use lead or tin overlays, which can have lower fatigue strength. This exact material is in service across major global race series including Formula 1, Le Mans, NASCAR, MotoGP, WRC and DTM.
