The factory S58 combined intercooler and intake manifold is efficient for stock power but is let down by a tube-and-fin core crimped to a thermoplastic plenum. Those crimps are a known weak point, with failures reported at only a few psi over stock. Mishimoto solves this with a robust bar-and-plate core TIG welded to a cast aluminium manifold that takes serious boost in its stride. With bolt-ons, big turbos and a tune, the S58 can push over the 800 hp mark - serious power demands serious cooling, and this manifold is designed to deliver.
