Important compatibility notes
- If the Porsche has a BOSE system the Mr12Volt P600 works out of the box.
- If there is no BOSE system the car must have an external device on the MOST ring, such as a CD changer, Satellite, external Navigation or Phone module. Without one, a dealer must programme one of these functions to activate support for the Mr12Volt unit.
- For CDR24 a factory CD changer must be installed, otherwise the P600 will not function correctly.
Installation notes
- If the car has an external CD changer, use the supplied optical loop connector to bypass it. The CD changer will be disabled after bypass.
- If the car also has an OEM external phone module, an additional optical loop connector is required to bypass it so the steering wheel phone buttons function properly. One optical loop connector is included. Purchase a second if you have both CD changer and phone module.
