Compound guide

From our testing on track cars, the Pagid RS29 / RSL29 delivers exceptional high friction and longevity. On lighter rear ends this higher friction can lead to early rear lockup, as we experienced on our Ibiza track car. In that scenario the Pagid RS42 compound is an excellent rear upgrade, offering slightly lower friction while coping with extremely high temperatures for stable, confidence‑inspiring braking.

  • RSL29 / RS29 rear pads: recommended for 4WD and Quattro applications where more rear brake balance is beneficial
  • RS42 rear pads: recommended for FWD cars that carry less weight over the rear axle

We also tested cheaper rear pads and found they could not cope with track temperatures, which led to odd pedal feel and degraded pad material. The Pagid E1158 RS42 and RSL29 / RS29 compounds have been the clear winners for us and our customers on fast road and track day setups.
