Unlock stronger, cleaner performance from your Kia Stinger 3.3T or Genesis G70 3.3T with genuine BMS ECU and TCU maps for the EK1 flashing system. Delivered as a digital download from Nforcd, these back end flash maps are designed to complement JB4 tuning while adding the deeper control only a flash offers. Nforcd knows this product well and it has been a popular upgrade with our customers.
- ECU back end flash maps for JB4 users with revised air fuel targets and scalar mapping for consistent fuelling
- Rescaled nuisance limp mode limiters such as turbine speed and boost
- Updated calculated torque to improve shifting characteristics
- Increased shift timing for firmer, faster shifts
- Advanced ignition strategy for stronger performance
- Burble calibrations available in Sport mode only
- All maps feature a 9 degree minimum shift timing
Map options available:
- RACE: Around 17 degrees peak ignition advance, AFR around 11.9:1 at peak power. Suggested for good quality 93 octane up to roughly E30. Typically for vehicles not running CPI.
- RACE_IGN: Similar to RACE with ignition advance raised to around 19 degrees peak. Suited to aggressive WMI applications on 93 to E30 fuel blends.
- E85 IGN19: Around 19 degrees peak ignition advance, AFR around 12.4:1 at peak power. Suggested for E40+. Approximately 40 percent E85 can be run on factory hardware, higher mixtures require CPI, WMI or the BMS HPFP.
With the BEF loaded you continue to use your JB4 maps as normal to set aggression, boost by gear and other on the fly changes, giving you the best of both worlds.
TCU map highlights
- Shift points optimised for tuned stock turbos: gears 1 to 4 around 5900 rpm, 5th around 6300 rpm for strong 60 to 130 performance
- Raised shift pressures for quicker shifts and reduced transmission wear
Where applicable, launch using the brake boost method: hold the brake, apply throttle to the desired engine speed, release the brake, then floor the accelerator.
What you need
- EK1 flashing device with the latest firmware that supports EKR files
- Optional: existing EKP files purchased previously can be converted to EKR via EK1 resources
How the digital download process works
- Order your ECU and or TCU map from Nforcd
- After purchase we will email you to request your calibration ID, EK1 serial number and the last six of your vehicle VIN
- We will prepare and email your EKR file or files
- Copy the EKR file to your EK1, switch ignition fully on with the engine off, then select Write to flash the ECU or TCU
- Patching is not required with EKR files
- Original files are not supplied. The EK1 system allows reading of the ECU or TCU application ID only, not the full original file
- The EK1 ECU read cable is not required unless your vehicle uses a calibration EK1 has not seen before
Finding your application ID in EK1
- TCU: module name CPTSH2.08.1. Application data IDs look like SIK0T33NH0 or TCK0T33NB0
- ECU: module name Siemens SIMM2L 260. Application data IDs look like IPNNDMNZ_N2A, CEMO3TMW_R0A or CKKO3TM__G0A
