Engineered and enhanced for the N54
The TTE550 starts with genuine BMW N54 turbocharger housings and exhaust manifolds that are fully dismantled, CNC machined and re-engineered. A larger next-generation TTE billet compressor wheel with thin, highly efficient blades is paired with a re-profiled, optimised-clearance compressor cover and enlarged, ported intake for smooth, high-flow air entry. On the exhaust side, a much larger curved clipped turbine and shaft are fitted to lower back pressure, reduce EGTs and drive higher boost safely. The turbine clipping reduces blade area to increase gas flow and also lightens the rotating assembly to improve response.
Wastegate durability is a known N54 pain point. TTE reinforces the wastegate arm, flapper and bushing to address rattle and ensure reliable operation at higher loads.
Precision balancing for reliability
Every TTE550 is balanced far beyond OEM standards for longevity, performance and acoustics. Components are first low-speed balanced up to 2,800 rpm across multiple planes, then the assembled CHRA is high-speed VSR balanced up to 250,000 rpm. Each turbocharger ships with a serial-numbered balance report.

If inspection finds damage, we will quote any additional costs before proceeding.
