Engineering that delivers real power and response
The TTE550 starts with a larger next generation TTE billet compressor wheel with ultra thin blades for high efficiency and wide compressor map coverage. The compressor cover is re profiled and machined to optimised clearances to maximise efficiency, and the intake pipe is enlarged and ported to smooth incoming airflow.
To drive the bigger compressor, TTE fits a larger last generation 9 blade turbine and shaft. This high flow turbine reduces back pressure and lowers exhaust gas temperatures compared to stock, allowing safer higher boost levels. Material removal also reduces rotational mass to improve transient response and spool.
Precision balanced for longevity
Every TTE turbocharger undergoes meticulous multi plane balancing. Individual parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2,800 RPM, then the assembled CHRA is dynamically VSR balanced up to 250,000 RPM. The result is low noise, high reliability and performance that lasts. Each unit ships with a serial numbered balance test sheet.

Performance guidance
Achieving 550 bhp plus requires appropriate supporting modifications and a quality custom tune. Popular supporting mods include upgraded FMIC, chargepipe, downpipe, high or low pressure fuel system upgrades such as Fuel It LPFP and port injection where required, and suitable 98 RON or performance fuel blends. A custom ECU calibration is essential.
Example setup tested on an F87 M2 with TTE550, FMIC, chargepipe, downpipe, Fuel It port injection, Fuel It LPFP, custom tuning and 100 octane plus E10 mixture has demonstrated the potential of this turbo upgrade.
Upgrade options
You can purchase a brand new TTE550 turbocharger or choose to upgrade your existing non damaged turbo. For the upgrade service, send us your turbo for inspection first. The listed price covers the upgrade of a non damaged turbo only. If damage is found, we will quote for any additional cost before proceeding. An engineer's report is provided after completion.
